Forty years ago, construction of the multi-million-dollar Point Pleasant water project was about to begin. Quickly, and almost out of nowhere, opposition rose. What resulted was a large-scale, nearly ceaseless protest by thousands of people willing to go to jail for their beliefs. This documentary analyzes the events from all sides featuring interviews with founding members of Del-AWARE, the opposition group leading the protests, and former Bucks County Commissioner Andy Warren.
The screening will be followed by an in-theater Q&A with filmmaker Lanny Morgnanesi, former journalist Hal Marcovitz, former Bucks County Commissioner Andy Warren, and members of Del-AWARE.
