So This is Paris

Celebrate Silent Movie Day with us this year with a screening of the classic flapper comedy SO THIS IS PARIS, with live music from accompanist Ben Model.

Ernst Lubitsch directs this silent comedy about a husband and wife dance team who relieve their boredom by finding themselves in dueling affairs with the married couple who lives across the street. Four people, each cheating on their spouse, and none of them is aware that their own spouse is cheating. Who will find out first, and how? Featuring a dazzling Charleston dance sequence and one of Myrna Loy’s first appearances.

Before the feature, we will screen the Edward Everett Horton slapstick, short silent comedy, DAD’S CHOICE (1928).

We are ecstatic to have Ben Model – one of the nation's leading silent film accompanists – back at the County Theater, playing along to both the feature and the short film LIVE.
