Charles Bonnet, hailing from a family of art forgers, takes things too far when he lends his renowned "Cellini" Venus statuette to the Kléber-Lafayette Museum in Paris for a special exhibit — despite the fact that the statue was actually sculpted by Bonnet’s father, not Cellini. His daughter Nicole (Audrey Hepburn), fearing he will be found out when the statuette is closely examined by the museum, blackmails Simon Dermott (Peter O’Toole), who she mistakenly thinks is a society burglar, into helping her steal the statue from the museum. Hepburn and O'Toole are lovely in this frothy, comedic heist adventure. Featuring a charming score composed by John Williams.
