Art House Theater Day is an annual celebration of art house and indie theaters. Each year local art house theaters across the country offer special screenings and exceptional cinematic experiences to their continued supporters. This year we’d like to offer a FREE screening of FRANK CAPRA: MR AMERICA to our loyal members and theatergoers who help keep our nonprofit theater thriving.

This documentary tells the story of famed director Frank Capra, who as a young Italian immigrant, rose through the ranks of Hollywood and became one of the greatest American storytellers of all time. His films brought audiences together and offered a vision of America where ideals win out, with a filmography that spans from IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT to IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE. Using previously unseen archives to examine Capra’s story, this film offers a candid portrait of a complicated man whose stories of hope in troubled times continue to speak to audiences today.
